Job Description

The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities for corporate entities, including general ledger management, month-end and quarter-end closing, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls, supporting accurate financial reporting and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting for corporate entities and specific assets
  • Prepare and maintain financial records of assets, liabilities, and profit and loss
  • Lead general ledger management and month-end/quarter-end close activities
  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Support financial reporting and operational processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements in accounting functions

Requirements

  • The candidate must have experience in day-to-day accounting for corporate entities and certain other excluded assets managed by the company.
  • The candidate must be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities.
  • The candidate must support ESRT’s financial reporting and operational excellence by leading key accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end and quarter-end close activities, and account reconciliations.
  • The candidate must ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
  • The candidate must be detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive.
  • The candidate must have the ability to operate independently while supporting high standards of accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.
