Job Description
The Seasonal Guest Service Ambassador provides guidance and assistance to visitors throughout the Empire State Building Observatory experience, ensuring an engaging and smooth visitor journey from entry to the observation floors and back.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to guests throughout the Observatory experience from the Lobby to the 86th and 102nd floors and back.
- Assist guests in navigating the attraction and ensure a positive visitor experience.
- Support guests in engaging with the interactive museum, exhibits, and viewing areas.
Requirements
- Provide guidance to all Observatory guests as they make their way throughout the experience from the Lobby to the 86th and 102nd Floor and back down to the Main Lobby.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver exceptional guest service and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Be self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven to contribute to a team environment.
- Possess excellent communication skills to effectively guide and interact with guests.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment that may include indoor environmental quality improvements such as bi-polar ionization, MERV 13 filters, and increased ventilation.
- Be available to work seasonally, with flexibility to accommodate the operational hours of the attraction.
- Meet any physical demands required for the role, such as standing for extended periods, walking throughout the observatory, and assisting guests as needed.
- Adhere to all safety, health, and operational policies and procedures established by the Empire State Building and relevant health authorities.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with the standards of the Empire State Building.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
