The Guest Services Supervisor at the Empire State Building oversees daily guest operations, leads and motivates a diverse team, and ensures exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, including managing shifts, guest flow, and guest concerns.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of front-line union personnel to ensure exceptional guest service.
Oversee daily operations and guest flow at the Empire State Building Observatory.
Handle guest concerns with professionalism and empathy to maintain a world-class environment.
Schedule and coordinate staff shifts, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Communicate effectively with staff, guests, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience managing, scheduling, and directing large, diverse teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Experience overseeing union front line personnel within an attraction or similar setting.
Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team to consistently deliver service at the highest standard.
Strong leadership skills, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
High energy and enthusiasm for guest service and team management.
Effective communication skills with staff, guests, and third parties.
Availability to work rotating shifts including opening as early as 6AM and closing as late as 1:30AM, including weekends and holidays.
