Job Description
The Energy and Sustainability Intern supports the company's sustainability initiatives through data analysis, reporting, and program development related to energy, water, waste, and indoor environmental quality, collaborating with property teams and tenants to improve performance and contribute to strategic sustainability efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sustainability strategy through data analytics, reporting, and program development
- Create dashboards and develop innovative KPIs for sustainability metrics
- Manage and coordinate sustainability data related to energy, water, waste, and indoor environmental quality
- Collaborate with property management teams and tenants to improve sustainability performance during design and operations
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to research, certifications, and investor reporting related to sustainability
- Assist in implementing key initiatives related to community and vendor engagement
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program, pursuing a degree relevant to sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- Able to commit to full-time work for 40 hours per week from June 1st, 2026, until August 7th, 2026.
- Willing to work onsite at 111 W 33rd Street, New York, NY for the duration of the internship.
- Strong interest in supporting sustainability strategies through data analytics, reporting, and program development.
- Ability to assist in creating dashboards and developing innovative KPIs related to energy, water, waste, indoor environmental quality, and community and vendor engagement.
- Experience or ability to manage and coordinate sustainability data and initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate with property management teams and tenants to improve performance from design through ongoing operations.
- Willingness to participate in project meetings, contribute to research, certifications, investor reporting, and other strategic sustainability efforts.
- Excellent communication skills to support cross-team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, or related sustainability topics is preferred but not mandatory.
