Job Description

The Senior Consultant at E3 is responsible for supporting and leading projects related to energy policy, climate change, and clean energy transition, including client interactions, research, analysis, report writing, and delivering presentations to stakeholders in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and lead client-facing interactions and determine project approaches and methods
  • Direct workstreams within projects and contribute to written reports and papers
  • Deliver findings and summaries to clients through presentations and Q&A sessions
  • Perform investigative tasks, quality assurance, and technical analysis on project products
  • Become a technical lead on project needs and flagship modeling tools

Requirements

  • Prior experience specifically addressing energy and climate change issues
  • Significant project management experience
  • Strong analytical dexterity and/or policy experience related to energy and climate issues
  • Ability to examine, research, and offer creative solutions to complex energy issues
  • Proactive approach to assisting the team and seeking answers to questions
  • Experience in clearly presenting information to a variety of stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and organizational techniques to create and actualize work plans that are efficient and provide guidance to serve customers
  • Ability to work collaboratively and help each team member to do their finest work, recognizing diverse experiences and techniques
  • Experience translating technical concepts to a broader audience
  • Ownership of work and enjoyment in finding creative solutions to issues encountered
  • Availability to work full-time in an exempt position
  • Ability to work in a hybrid and flexible work environment, including extended hours in front of a computer screen and conducting meetings virtually or via telephone
  • Willingness to travel between 0-10% as required
  • Possession of relevant educational background and experience aligning with the role (implied, as the role involves consulting and technical work in energy policy and planning)
