Job Description
The Senior Consultant at E3 is responsible for supporting and leading projects related to energy policy, climate change, and clean energy initiatives, including conducting research, analyzing data, preparing reports, and engaging with clients and stakeholders to inform strategic decisions in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and lead client-facing interactions and define project approaches and methods.
- Direct workstreams within projects and contribute to written reports and papers.
- Deliver findings and summaries to clients through presentations and Q&A sessions.
- Perform investigative tasks, quality assurance, and technical analysis on project products.
- Become a technical lead on project needs and flagship modeling tools.
Requirements
- Prior experience specifically addressing energy and climate change issues
- Significant project management experience
- Strong analytical dexterity and/or policy experience related to energy and climate change
- Ability to examine, research, and offer creative solutions to complex energy issues
- Proactive approach to assisting the team and seeking answers to questions
- Experience in clearly presenting information to a variety of stakeholders
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to create and implement work plans that are efficient and provide guidance to serve customers
- Ability to work collaboratively and help team members achieve their best work, recognizing diverse experiences and techniques
- Experience translating technical concepts to a broader audience
- Ownership of work and enjoyment in finding creative solutions to issues encountered
- Availability to work full-time in an exempt position
- Ability to work in a hybrid and flexible work environment, including extended hours in front of a computer and conducting meetings virtually or via telephone
- Willingness to travel between 0-10% as required
- Possession of relevant industry-specific knowledge or experience aligned with practice areas such as Climate Pathways and Electrification, Asset Valuation, Transmission, and Markets, or Integrated System Planning (preferred but not mandatory at application stage)
