The Associate Director at E3 leads client-facing projects in the energy consulting sector, managing workstreams, contributing to reports and presentations, and supporting business development efforts to advance clean energy policies and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead client-facing interactions and present findings to clients
Identify approaches and methods for medium-to-large projects
Direct workstreams within projects and contribute to reports and papers
Oversee the management of existing tools and analytical resources
Support proposal writing and contribute to project development
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and develop future leaders
Drive strategic project and thought leadership to support business growth
Requirements
Possess a deep subject matter expertise and strong technical aptitude in energy consulting or related fields.
Have a minimum of several years of professional experience supporting significant business development activities upon hiring.
Demonstrate the ability to independently create and actualize work plans that are efficient while delivering an elevated level of guidance to serve customers.
Experience in managing, shaping, and developing a Practice Area within an energy consulting or similar organization.
Proven ability to lead client-facing interactions and play a leadership role in identifying the approach and methods for medium-to-large sized projects.
Experience in directing workstreams within projects and contributing heavily to written reports and papers.
Ability to regularly deliver findings and summaries to customers, including making presentations and replying to questions.
Support the growth of the business through strategic project and thought leadership.
Ability to oversee the management of existing tools and lead efforts on proposal writing.
Willingness and ability to work in a hybrid and flexible work environment, including working from the office at least 2-3 days per week, usually Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Must be able to work for extended hours in front of a computer screen and conduct meetings on the telephone and virtually.
Willingness to travel occasionally up to 10 times per year to client sites within the United States and/or Canada.
Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (implied, as the role is senior and requires deep expertise).
