Job Description
The Production Quality Control Manager oversees jewelry production operations, ensuring fulfillment, quality standards, and vendor management, while coordinating order processing, shipments, and post-sale support in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee jewelry production operations from order processing to final shipment and post-sale support.
- Evaluate manufacturing capabilities and manage vendor onboarding and relationships.
- Ensure compliance with VRAI's quality standards through quality control and integrity checks.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage production-related negotiations.
- Conduct on-site supervision and occasional vendor visits to maintain production quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Robust experience in the jewelry industry, specifically in production operations, manufacturing capability evaluation, vendor onboarding and management, and contract negotiations.
- Deep involvement in overseeing fulfillment, integrity, and quality control of jewelry products from order processing to final shipment and post-sale support.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment, with on-site presence at designated VRAI facilities, and occasional visits to vendors in New Jersey and New York.
- Physical presence at a designated VRAI facility for all scheduled work hours, with the ability to sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 25 pounds.
- High-performing jewelry production manager with strong vendor relations experience and a sharp analytical mindset.
- Passion for hands-on problem-solving to drive operational excellence.
- Experience evaluating manufacturing capabilities and managing vendor relationships to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Ability to negotiate contracts effectively with vendors and suppliers.
- Strong organizational skills to oversee order processing, fulfillment, and quality assurance processes.
- Commitment to maintaining VRAI’s quality standards throughout all production and fulfillment stages.
