Job Description

This role involves leading the development, quality oversight, and coordination of technical documentation for large, complex architectural projects, ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and client requirements while guiding project teams through quality processes and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, assembly, and quality oversight of technical documentation for large or multiple projects.
  • Manage and monitor integrated quality review processes across all disciplines.
  • Coordinate project team staffing and manage support for the project’s Quality Process.
  • Contribute to risk assessment and proactively identify, communicate, mitigate, and resolve project issues.
  • Guide the development and updates of the Project Quality Plan and phase milestone reviews.
  • Review and guide the planning of each phase's drawing document deliverables and ensure compliance with technical standards.
  • Facilitate coordination among disciplines, including external consultants, to ensure project quality and compliance.
  • Monitor project metrics to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Support the development of technically sound and innovative design solutions.
  • Mentor project staff to foster a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum 12 years of related professional experience.
  • Experience includes 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and or commercial projects.
  • At least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional and or commercial projects.
  • Experience leading all technical aspects with production teams on large, complex projects of more than 200 million dollars in construction costs.
  • Must have experience designing, documenting, coordinating, and administering the construction of significant commercial projects.
  • Expertise in building codes, standards, and familiarity with proven solutions to address conflicting requirements between building authorities, client needs, construction technologies, and insurance provisions.
  • Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Must be able to lead large, complex, or multiple projects.
  • Strong subject matter expertise in technical leadership, building codes, and requirements.
  • Must possess strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated focus on quality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to be client-facing.
  • Strong coordination skills and ability to build rapport with project team and client.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
