Job Description

The Security Manager at Cypress Creek Renewables is responsible for leading and managing all security operations across multiple sites, developing security policies, coordinating with law enforcement, and implementing strategies to protect personnel, property, and assets in a renewable energy company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of corporate and field security operations.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve security policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Coordinate with safety, construction, operations, and leadership to mitigate risks and respond to emergencies.
  • Manage security staffing, scheduling, and performance with contracted security forces.
  • Monitor security incidents and trends, analyze root causes, and implement risk reduction strategies.
  • Develop and manage security budgets, including vendor costs and technology investments.
  • Lead theft prevention initiatives, conduct threat assessments, and coordinate investigations with law enforcement.
  • Maintain and oversee security technology infrastructure, including cameras and access control systems.
  • Engage with law enforcement, community stakeholders, and local authorities for high-risk sites.
  • Prepare security reports, communicate risks and incident updates to senior leadership, and maintain incident records.
  • Continuously assess and improve security programs, incorporating industry best practices and technology enhancements.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness and compliance training for employees and contractors.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in corporate, field, or industrial security management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-site security teams and/or contracted security forces.
  • Experience collaborating with law enforcement and managing theft or criminal investigations.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute independently.
  • Hands-on experience with video surveillance systems, access control, and incident reporting platforms.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% across multiple states and project sites.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and continuously improving security programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to develop and manage security operating budgets, including vendor cost controls, invoice validation, and ROI assessment.
  • Experience supporting security-related insurance loss prevention initiatives, claims documentation, evidence collection, and post-incident insurer engagement.
  • Ability to proactively engage with local law enforcement, municipalities, and community stakeholders for high-risk sites.
  • Experience conducting threat assessments, vulnerability analysis, and developing security enhancements.
  • Experience leading initiatives to prevent and respond to theft of copper and materials at construction and operational sites, including investigations and coordination with law enforcement.
  • Ability to track, report, and analyze security incidents, trends, and effectiveness metrics.
  • Experience preparing and delivering security reports, incident documentation, and providing updates to senior leadership.
  • Experience in continuous assessment and improvement of security programs, incorporating industry best practices.
  • Ability to develop and facilitate security training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Possession of professional security certifications such as CPP, PSP, or similar (preferred).
  • Prior law enforcement or military security experience (preferred).
  • Experience in construction, energy, utilities, or renewable energy sectors (preferred).
