Job Description
The Insurance Risk Manager at Cypress Creek Energy is responsible for overseeing the company's insurance and risk management programs, including risk analysis, policy management, claims support, and ensuring compliance with contractual and industry requirements to support sustainable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide risk management and insurance advice to internal teams and stakeholders
- Manage policy renewals for corporate and project insurance programs
- Support reporting, processing, and negotiation of insurance claims
- Develop and maintain a risk philosophy balancing coverage needs and cost efficiency
- Review and ensure accuracy of insurance documentation and audits
- Assist in developing insurance budgets at corporate and project levels
- Manage relationships with insurance brokers, insurers, and stakeholders to optimize coverage and costs
- Participate in due diligence for mergers and acquisitions related to insurance and risk management
- Collaborate with legal and procurement teams on insurance provisions in vendor contracts
- Create insurance provision standards and train employees on insurance-related topics
- Support compliance with financing party insurance requirements and contractual obligations
Requirements
- Possess a BS and/or BA degree; MBA is preferred.
- Hold risk management designations from relevant industry educational institutions such as CPCU or ARM.
- Have at least 7 years of experience in insurance risk management roles.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of insurance requirements in the renewable energy industry.
- Possess exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and advise internal business partners appropriately.

Salary range of $170,000 to $200,000 plus bonus and benefits
