The Project Manager of Pre-Construction at Cypress Creek Renewables oversees early-stage project development, including design reviews, scheduling, budgeting, and contractor coordination, to ensure utility-scale solar and storage projects are executed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Support construction due diligence, including constructability reviews, risk analyses, and project scheduling.
Review and address upfront construction and execution-related issues early in the project lifecycle.
Manage RFI and RFP processes to transition projects from development to execution.
Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and engineering specifications.
Lead EPC RFP process, including scoping, evaluation, and contractor selection.
Oversee EPC contract execution and early-stage engineering and design.
Coordinate with stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to support project execution.
Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and schedules.
Host weekly project status meetings and foster stakeholder alignment.
Build and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers.
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent years of experience in construction, project planning and execution of large utility-scale, power plant projects
3-5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector or industrial construction or capital project management
Advanced knowledge of construction management and constructing methods for large projects, contract management, procurement, and supply chain management, environmental and building permitting, and transportation logistics
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining critical path method schedules
Extensive experience with EPC and BOP construction contracting including RFP process, bid review, and negotiation of contract terms, with renewable energy contracting experience highly preferred
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including MS Project
Basic knowledge of construction labor relations throughout the US
Works well under pressure and on a deadline, enjoys working with a variety of people
