Job Description
The Associate Director of Grid Integration at Cypress Creek Renewables is responsible for developing and executing interconnection strategies for solar and storage projects across multiple regional markets, managing interconnection requests, negotiating agreements, and engaging with stakeholders to support the company's renewable energy development goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute generation and large load interconnection strategies across multiple regional markets.
- Manage generator and load interconnection requests, queue advancement, and coordinate with transmission providers and ISO staff.
- Lead interconnection negotiations and support due diligence for acquisition opportunities, including assessing interconnection risks and costs.
- Represent CCR in stakeholder meetings related to interconnection processes and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited university
- Strong technical understanding of power system analysis concepts including power flow, contingency, stability, study interpretation, and interconnection risk assessment
- Proven experience managing generator and load interconnection processes
- Ability to navigate complex queue timelines and communicate effectively with transmission providers and internal teams
- Demonstrated experience coordinating technical work across internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical skills sufficient to produce concise, technically sound reports and presentations
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate technical insights to diverse audiences
- Minimum of 6 years of applicable professional experience
