The Vendor Management Supervisor leads and develops the vendor management team, oversees vendor onboarding and compliance processes, and collaborates with internal departments to optimize vendor performance and relationships, ensuring efficient operations and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, mentor, and develop the vendor management team to foster high performance.
Manage team workloads and ensure resource allocation aligns with organizational goals.
Route vendor exceptions for approval and ensure timely resolution.
Develop and implement processes to improve vendor compliance and reduce exceptions.
Collaborate with procurement, site teams, and accounts payable to review and resolve vendor discrepancies.
Serve as the primary liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders for onboarding and ongoing relationships.
Lead initiatives to standardize and improve vendor creation policies and processes.
Develop and maintain vendor performance scorecards and KPIs.
Analyze vendor data to identify trends, resolve inconsistencies, and validate vendor information.
Oversee the vendor onboarding process to ensure efficient integration into systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in vendor management or a related role.
At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity within vendor management or a related field.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
