Job Description
The Vice President of Portfolio Finance at Arevon is responsible for managing financing activities, overseeing capital structure, and leading a team to support renewable energy projects through various financial strategies and collaborations across organizational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financing activities including capital raises, debt term conversions, refinancings, tax equity partnership restructuring, and asset divestitures.
- Oversee financial tracking models, due diligence logs, and modeling requests.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage ongoing financing requirements.
- Manage personnel responsible for corporate financing files, security requests, guaranties, and transaction timing.
- Review amendments for project documents and coordinate with financing parties for approval.
- Maintain relationships with financial investors and portfolio teams during construction and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering
- 7 years of experience in the Renewable Energy Industry, Utilities Sector, or Portfolio Finance
- Proven track record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures
- Experience maintaining and auditing project finance models, with the ability to produce and analyze summary economic data
- Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results-oriented, process-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to set and meet realistic deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent discretion in handling confidential information and in communicating with third parties
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to lead financing activities including capital raises, debt term conversions, refinancings, tax equity partnership restructuring, and asset divestitures
- Experience collaborating with internal teams such as Development, Construction, Engineering, and Asset Management to manage ongoing financing requirements
- Experience managing personnel responsible for financial tracking models, internal and external modeling requests, and due diligence logs
- Experience reviewing amendments for material project documents and coordinating with financing parties for approval and consent
- Ability to help maintain relationships with financial investors and portfolio teams during construction and operations
