The Manager, Asset Management oversees the financial, operational, and commercial aspects of renewable energy projects across the U.S., ensuring asset performance, compliance, and value optimization throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Perform due diligence on new project investments, including evaluating project agreements and contracts.
Manage financial performance of assets through P&L analysis, financial modeling, and budget tracking.
Oversee compliance with project obligations, permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory agencies.
Lead root cause analysis for underperforming assets and collaborate with technical teams to address issues.
Negotiate and amend contracts to improve asset performance and mitigate risks.
Monitor and report on project performance, including generation data, revenue, and operational metrics.
Coordinate project transition into commercial operation and support asset management improvements.
Requirements
Five years of energy industry experience in asset management, project administration, business administration, project management, contract administration, project finance, or other commercial roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Strong business and financial savvy with the ability to support a high-performance organization that will deliver operational excellence and meet or exceed financial targets.
A strong grasp of technical Wind and Solar project details and the ability to effectively collaborate with operational and technical teams.
Ability to perform well under pressure on teams in a demanding environment and occasionally work extended hours to meet project deadlines.
Ability to think creatively, manage competing priorities, work independently, and pay attention to detail.
Ability to meet and communicate effectively with various Customers, off-takers, and Investors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise manner.
Understanding of renewable financial models and the full capital stack including tax equity, debt, and cash equity.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience manipulating and managing large amounts of structured and unstructured data.
Prior experience with the use of formulas in Excel (e.g., vlookup, sumproduct, sumif, index match) and creating reports from scratch.
