Job Description
The Analyst supports the development, valuation, and acquisition of utility-scale renewable energy projects by managing financial models, conducting due diligence, and assisting with project origination and financing activities within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the project financial model for development assets.
- Support the origination, structuring, and closing of solar, wind, and storage acquisitions.
- Coordinate due diligence and financial modeling inputs for project investments.
- Prepare memos and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
- Support ongoing development, financing, and offtake contract activities.
- Conduct pricing analysis and develop bidding strategies for project offtake agreements.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative risk analyses for structured transactions.
- Develop and enhance financial models and analytical tools using Excel, VBA, and other software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with a strong academic record from a leading undergraduate program, ideally with a focus in finance, business administration, or economics.
- Relevant work experience in a finance or development role with a specific focus on financial modeling.
- Fundamental knowledge of renewable energy, cleantech, power markets, or infrastructure finance with prior internship or similar experience in these fields.
- Experience navigating discounted cash flow models is required.
- A motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong aptitude for analytical and financial modeling with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Advanced capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
- Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills.
- The ability to summarize complex issues and identify opportunities or next steps is critical.
- Robust organizational skills with a mindset towards pursuing simple and efficient solutions.
- Ability to manage simultaneous projects work streams, set priorities, and exercise judgment unsupervised.

Salary range: Denver $74,000 - $89,000, San Francisco $88,000 - $107,000
