Job Description
The Senior Technoeconomic Analyst will develop detailed models and conduct lifecycle and first-principles analyses to support Charm's carbon removal projects, driving long-term cost and efficiency improvements across engineering, financial, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technoeconomic models to analyze the lifecycle and costs of carbon removal processes.
- Conduct first-principles modeling to evaluate process efficiencies and identify system improvements.
- Support the development of long-term cost curves and validate engineering roadmaps.
- Collaborate with engineering, research, and carbon accounting teams to inform strategic decisions.
- Leverage insights from modeling to identify opportunities for system optimization and cost reduction.
Requirements
- Experience in developing detailed models, owning life-cycle analysis, conducting first-principles modeling, and leveraging insights to identify opportunities for system improvements.
- Ability to support long-term cost curve development related to carbon removal technologies.
- Proven experience supporting cross-functional teams, including engineering, research, and financial teams, in a collaborative environment.
- Strong understanding of technoeconomic analysis, including validation of engineering roadmaps and estimation of future costs.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze how process and product carbon efficiency changes as a business evolves.
- Experience in developing and supporting strategic, engineering, and financial roadmaps for complex projects.
- Ability to work directly under a Corporate Finance Strategy Manager and collaborate with multiple departments such as Engineering, Research, and Carbon Accounting.
- Relevant educational background in engineering, economics, environmental science, or related fields (implied by the role's technical and analytical nature).
