Job Description

The Procurement Manager, Development Contract Manufacturing, is responsible for coordinating with external manufacturing partners and internal teams to support the development and production of Charm's pyrolysis and injection systems, ensuring project timelines, quality, and costs are met through effective procurement and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Charm and contract manufacturers for building pyrolysis machines and injection skids.
  • Support routine procurement activities based on engineering requests for in-house system development.
  • Translate engineering requirements into manufacturing plans and track progress.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to schedule, cost, and quality in manufacturing projects.
  • Coordinate and ensure alignment of production activities with program objectives, supplier agreements, and procurement priorities.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and maintain strong communication between Charm and suppliers throughout development and build cycles.

Requirements

  • Deep cross-functional partnership experience between procurement, engineering, and operations to support development and manufacturing activities.
  • Ability to translate engineering requirements into actionable manufacturing plans.
  • Experience in tracking progress of manufacturing projects and proactively identifying risks to schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Support for execution of rapid in-house development cycles and longer-term contract manufacturing strategy.
  • Ensuring production activities are aligned with defined program objectives, supplier agreements, and broader procurement priorities.
  • Surface risks early and facilitate structured issue resolution throughout the development and build lifecycle.
  • Strong coordination skills to maintain collaboration between Charm and manufacturing suppliers.
  • Experience supporting routine procurement activity based on engineering purchasing requests for in-house system development.
  • Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement, and supporting day-to-day program execution.
  • Ability to serve as the primary liaison between Charm and contract manufacturer responsible for building pyrolysis machines and injection skids.
  • Experience in managing or supporting procurement activities related to hardware build test campaigns.
  • Experience in managing or supporting procurement for manufacturing of complex systems or equipment.
  • Physical ability to support procurement activities related to hardware manufacturing (if physical demands are specified, though not explicitly detailed in the posting).
