The position involves providing economic analysis, advice, and expert testimony for antitrust and merger cases, working with leading academics and practitioners to support clients through complex regulatory and litigation matters in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and presentation of client deliverables, including expert reports and analyses.
Conduct economic analyses of mergers and competition matters for judicial proceedings and regulatory agencies.
Supervise, train, and mentor junior analysts in economic and financial modeling and analysis.
Manage workstreams and design complex economic and financial models to analyze data.
Program, build models, and perform regression analysis using statistical software such as Stata, SAS, R, or Python.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of economic analyses and opinions.
Requirements
A successful candidate must have either an MBA with 4-7 years of work experience or a Ph.D. or ABD in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a closely allied field.
Candidates must have specific expertise in the fields of industrial organization, applied microeconomics, econometrics, labor, intellectual property, pricing, corporate finance, financial accounting, or other quantitative areas.
Candidates may also have prior consulting experience.
Previous experience in teaching, research, or industry is desirable.
Ability to support the development and presentation of client deliverables including expert reports summarizing opinions, conclusions, and recommendations, and third-party financial, market, and industry data.
Experience working with leading academics and senior practitioners in judicial proceedings to provide economic analyses of mergers and other competition matters before major competition authorities.
Experience supervising, training, and mentoring junior analysts in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Ability to manage workstreams and design complex economic and financial models to analyze economic and financial data.
Proficiency in programming, model building, and regression analysis in statistical analysis programs such as Stata, SAS, R, or Python.
Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
Minimal travel is required as most work is done in the office, but some travel may be necessary.
