The role involves providing economic analysis, advice, and expert testimony in antitrust and competition cases, managing client relationships, developing complex economic models, and collaborating with leading academics and practitioners to support litigation and regulatory proceedings worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a primary client contact and assist in developing and presenting expert reports and analyses.
Conduct economic analyses of mergers and competition issues using empirical tools and models.
Manage research processes and supervise, train, and mentor junior analysts.
Design complex economic and financial models to analyze data.
Program, build models, and perform regression analysis using statistical software such as Stata, SAS, R, or Python.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of economic analyses and opinions.
Collaborate with academics and practitioners in judicial proceedings and regulatory cases.
Requirements
A minimum of 8 years experience managing client relationships and project teams in a consulting environment.
A Ph.D. or ABD (All But Dissertation) in economics, finance, or accounting or a closely allied field.
Specific expertise in the fields of industrial organization, applied microeconomics, econometrics, labor, intellectual property, pricing, corporate finance, financial accounting or other quantitative areas.
Proficiency in programming, model building, and regression analysis in statistical analysis programs such as Stata, SAS, R, or Python.
Ability to independently conceptualize and identify issues, design complex economic and financial models to analyze economic and financial data.
Experience in managing the research process, supervising, training, and mentoring junior analysts in a team-oriented environment.
Experience in acting as a primary point of contact for clients and assisting in the development and presentation of client deliverables including expert reports, opinions, conclusions, and recommendations.
Experience working with leading academics and senior practitioners in judicial proceedings to provide economic analyses of mergers and other competition matters before major competition authorities.
Ability to ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
Willingness to travel minimally, as most work is done in the office, with specific days determined in coordination with the practice or team.
