The Human Capital Manager at CRA is responsible for providing strategic and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, performance management, talent initiatives, and HR process oversight, to foster a high-performance, inclusive work environment in a professional services setting.
Key Responsibilities
Advise managers and leaders on HR matters, building strong relationships to deliver tailored HR solutions
Lead complex employee relations issues globally, ensuring legal compliance and practical outcomes
Coach managers on performance management, including difficult conversations and decision making
Manage the annual performance review cycle and support talent discussions and outcomes
Oversee global HR transactional processes such as employee transitions, contractual changes, and offboarding
Partner with HRIS team to develop and maintain management reporting on HR metrics
Implement continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Drive a feedback culture through communication, technology, and training initiatives
Maintain and update HR policies to ensure compliance with employment law and best practices
Lead and oversee HR initiatives, managing multiple priorities and guiding the HR team
Design and implement global manager training programs
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum of 5-8 years relevant work experience in a professional services firm, with employee relations and talent development experience expected
Advanced knowledge of Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables
Intermediate skills in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience working with an HRIS system, with Workday desirable
Demonstrated track record of productivity, able to advance tasks with diplomacy and tact, and a willingness to take ownership of work
Strong interpersonal communication skills that promote relationship-building across stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills, able to find creative solutions without getting flustered, and willing to dig for an answer
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with tight turnarounds across multiple time zones
Good judgment, aware of confidentiality expectations, and discreet with sensitive information
Ability to serve as a trusted, pragmatic, and commercially-focused adviser to managers and leaders, building strong relationships across client groups to understand business needs and deliver tailored HR solutions
Ability to lead complex employee relations matters globally, including performance, restructures, and formal investigations, ensuring compliance with employment law regulations while delivering practical, commercial outcomes
Ability to coach and support managers on performance-related matters, including difficult conversations and decision making
Project management skills to support the firmwide annual performance review cycle, including talent discussions and outcomes
Experience overseeing global HR transactional processes, including employee transitions, contractual changes, and offboarding, ensuring a high-quality, consistent employee experience
Ability to partner with HRIS team to develop, maintain, and enhance management reporting such as attrition, exit insights, performance, and advancement metrics
Ability to apply a continuous improvement mindset to HR processes to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness
Strong leadership skills to guide and develop the HR team, and drive progress against evolving deadlines
Experience designing and rolling out global manager training programs
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels
Ability to navigate difficult and sensitive circumstances with tact, sensitivity, and excellent judgment
Willingness to maintain and update HR policies to ensure alignment with employment law and best practices
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, guiding and developing HR initiatives concurrently
