The position involves conducting economic and financial analyses to support antitrust and merger cases, building models, performing statistical research, and assisting in the preparation of expert reports within a consulting environment focused on competition economics.
Key Responsibilities
Perform economic analyses to support case theories
Build Excel models and conduct regression analysis using statistical programming languages
Conduct economic and industry research and analyze client materials
Review and summarize analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
Assist in producing research summaries, expert reports, and presenting findings
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of analyses
Support practice development activities such as training, recruiting, and knowledge management
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree with an academic focus on quantitative research Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline
Up to 2 years of relevant work experience in financial economic analysis, preferably in a consulting firm
Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to explain, economic, financial and or accounting concepts, and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods
Experience working with large data sets in Excel and or statistical analysis programs e.g SAS, Stata, R, etc.
Perform economic analyses to support case theories
