The internship involves supporting economic analysis and research on competition policy and regulation across various industries, working closely with senior staff to develop reports, models, and recommendations in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct analyses and collect evidence from data and research to support expert opinions and business recommendations
Perform regression analyses using statistical programs such as Stata, Python, or R, including large data projects with cloud computing
Build economic models tailored to specific issues to support expert opinions and recommendations
Assist in developing and presenting client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers
Communicate complex economic concepts clearly to internal teams
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of analyses and opinions
Requirements
Master's or PhD candidates studying economics with a strong foundation in microeconomics, preferably with a specialisation in industrial economics and/or econometrics
Fluency in English; other language skills are considered an asset
High degree of numeracy, ability to analyse data, and familiarity with econometric techniques
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities
Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills
