The Analyst at Charles River Associates will support economic and quantitative analysis related to employment disputes and practices, working on data modeling, research, and report preparation to provide insights for clients in legal, corporate, and government sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Program, build models, and perform regression and data analysis using statistical analysis programs such as Stata, SAS, or R.
Review, process, and construct datasets related to employment data, including HRIS, applicant tracking, and performance data.
Conduct labor market research to develop an independent fact base.
Review and summarize client documents and third-party research to identify key information.
Participate in analysis design, report preparation, and presentation of findings.
Ensure the reliability of analysis through quality control reviews.
Assist in practice development activities such as training, recruiting, and knowledge management.
Requirements
Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with an academic focus on quantitative research, including fields such as Economics, Business, Finance, Financial Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, with graduation expected in Summer 2026.
Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to explain, economic, financial, and/or accounting concepts, as well as quantitative and qualitative analysis methods.
Experience programming in statistical analysis programs, particularly Stata, SAS, SQL, R, or Python.
Strong research and quantitative analysis skills, including proficiency in Excel.
Ability to review, process, and construct datasets that serve as inputs to analysis, including company time-keeping, applicant tracking, performance, and HRIS data.
Ability to perform labor market research to develop an independent fact base.
Ability to review and summarize client documents and third-party research to identify key information.
Participation in analysis design, report preparation, and presentation of findings.
Ensuring the reliability of analysis through quality control review.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.

Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
Completion of an honors thesis, research apprenticeship, or research seminar program is highly desired.
Recent graduates or individuals without direct relevant experience may also be hired as an Analyst.

Compensation/salary range: $92,500 - $105,000 with potential bonus incentive
