A consulting role within the Life Sciences Practice at Charles River Associates, focusing on delivering economic, strategic, and policy solutions to clients in the healthcare and biotech industries through research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver strategy, policy, and economic consulting projects for clients in the life sciences industry.
Conduct independent research and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
Contribute to internal discussions and integrate findings into project deliverables.
Engage with clients and external stakeholders through interviews and meetings.
Generate sections of client reports, presentations, and other deliverables under supervision.
Develop industry knowledge and consulting methodologies through proactive learning.
Participate in practice-building activities such as training, recruiting, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree with strong academic performance from a top-tier institution, with a minimum 2:1 focus in biological sciences, economics, or related subjects including business, health economics and policy, public policy, physical sciences, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or another quantitative discipline.

2-3 years of relevant professional work experience, preferably in healthcare consulting or industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel, plus an understanding of how to conduct internet research.
Experience with statistical software such as Stata and SAS is helpful.
Experience with, or keen interest in, the Life Sciences industry and healthcare.
Understanding of economic concepts and business processes, as well as familiarity with essential consulting methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Effective written communication and oral presentation skills in English; additional languages are helpful.
Strong self-management, attention to detail, effective time management, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
Clear and demonstrated interest in consulting through coursework, work experience, activities, or attendance at CRA recruiting events.
Willingness and ability to undertake periodic travel to clients, as some client travel is inevitable.
Ability to work in a flexible start date environment during 2026, with the potential for rapid career progression based on performance.
