Job Description
This role involves utilizing data analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets, develop insights, and create visualizations to support legal, regulatory, and business decision-making for clients in a consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Use data analytics to enhance client understanding of business, risk, strategic, or regulatory issues
- Manipulate and analyze large volumes of data to develop insights for legal, regulatory, or business decision-making
- Build custom visualizations and applications to identify patterns, trends, outliers, and drivers in data
- Apply predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques for financial crime detection and risk analysis
- Assist with data collection, standardization, and identification of relevant data for analysis
- Communicate analysis findings through visuals, data tables, models, reports, and presentations
Requirements
- A background in Computer Science and Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Machine Learning, or Management Information Systems, with a preference for candidates graduating in December 2025 or Summer 2026 with an academic focus on quantitative research.
- Experience with relational database systems such as MS SQL Server or Oracle Database.
- Experience in executing data science methodologies using common programming languages, such as Python, R, SAS, or Scala.
- Experience in data visualization using Power BI, Tableau, D3.js, Qlik Sense, HTML, or JavaScript.
- Experience in cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, AWS RedShift, Databricks, or Azure.
- Knowledge of Natural Language Processing, Text Mining, Bayesian Networks, or Network Graph Mining.
- Demonstrated experience or expertise in broader analytics areas such as Data Engineering, Social Listening, Optimization, or Simulation is preferred.
- Strong analytical and curious mindset, with the ability to bring creative approaches to non-standard problems.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and programming languages.
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
- Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
- Clear interest in consulting demonstrated through coursework, work experience, activities, or participation in CRA recruiting events.
- Ability and willingness to travel periodically as required.
