Job Description

The position involves conducting economic, financial, and industry analyses related to transfer pricing transactions, supporting client projects with research, modeling, and documentation, and collaborating with senior consultants to deliver expert advice and reports in a consulting firm setting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform economic analyses of transactions, markets, and industries
Build economic models, develop financial projections, and conduct statistical analysis using Excel
Conduct benchmarking analysis and synthesize financial statements
Research industry and economic data, analyze client materials to understand transactions and factors affecting terms
Review and summarize analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
Design and conduct searches for relevant market data in industry and financial databases
Assist in writing documentation studies, memos, expert reports, and presentations
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of analyses
Interact with clients during project execution
Support practice development activities such as training, recruiting, and knowledge management

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline
Up to 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or financial economic analysis
Solid working knowledge of finance, accounting, and economic methodologies
Command of a broad range of research and quantitative analysis skills including strong Excel skills
Recent graduates or individuals without directly relevant experience may be hired at the Analyst title
Perform economic analyses of transactions, markets, and industries
Work in Excel to build economic models, develop financial projections, conduct ratio and other statistical analysis
Perform benchmarking analysis and synthesize financial statements
Conduct economic and industry research while analyzing client materials to build an understanding of a specific transaction and the factors impacting its terms
Review and summarize analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
Design and conduct searches for relevant market data and other information in a variety of industry and financial databases
Assist in the writing of documentation studies, memos, expert reports, and presentations of findings
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses
Interact with clients during the course of a project
Participate in practice development activities such as training, recruiting, and knowledge management
Effective written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership
Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities
Excellent time management and task prioritization skills

Compensation/salary range: $87,000 - $95,000 (California-specific)

Work schedule: 3 to 4 days a week in the office, with remote work options during certain times of the year
