The position involves conducting economic, financial, and industry analyses related to transfer pricing, building models, preparing reports, and supporting litigation and client projects within a global consulting firm specializing in economic and financial advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
Perform economic analyses of transactions, markets, and industries
Build economic models, develop financial projections, and conduct statistical analysis using Excel
Conduct benchmarking analysis and synthesize financial statements
Research industry and economic data, analyze client materials to understand transaction factors
Review and summarize analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
Design and conduct searches for relevant market data in industry and financial databases
Assist in writing documentation studies, memos, expert reports, and presentations
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of analyses
Interact with clients during project execution
Support practice development activities such as training, recruiting, and knowledge management
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline
Up to 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or financial economic analysis
Solid working knowledge of finance, accounting, and economic methodologies
Command of a broad range of research and quantitative analysis skills including strong Excel skills
Recent graduates or individuals without directly relevant experience may be hired at the Analyst title
Ability to perform economic analyses of transactions, markets, and industries
Ability to work in Excel to build economic models, develop financial projections, and conduct ratio and other statistical analysis
Ability to perform benchmarking analysis and synthesize financial statements
Ability to conduct economic and industry research while analyzing client materials to understand specific transactions and factors impacting their terms
Ability to review and summarize analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
Ability to design and conduct searches for relevant market data and other information in a variety of industry and financial databases
Ability to assist in the writing of documentation studies, memos, expert reports, and presentations of findings
Ability to ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses
Ability to interact with clients during the course of a project
Strong research and quantitative skills
