Job Description
An internship position at Celonis focused on supporting the sustainability team through research, analysis, engagement, reporting, and operational initiatives to advance the company's environmental and ESG goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive projects within the sustainability team independently
- Identify priorities, conduct research, and develop implementation ideas
- Support strategic areas including internal operations, climate programs, ESG compliance, and communications
- Monitor ESG trends, innovations, and regulatory developments
- Conduct market research and data analysis to inform strategic initiatives
- Assist in executing sustainability initiatives and campaigns
- Create internal and external content to highlight sustainability impact
- Support the development of the Celonis Sustainability Report 2025
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments and manage stakeholder engagement
- Translate high-level climate goals into actionable measures and research solutions to reduce carbon footprint
Requirements
- Currently studying Sustainability Management, Business Administration, or a related program
- A solid understanding of business sustainability, climate action, employee engagement, regulatory frameworks, and the aspiration to become a domain expert someday
- A foundational understanding of Process Mining and ideas on how it can solve sustainability challenges
- Eagerness to explore AI-driven automation to streamline daily tasks
- Effective communication skills with fluency in English and the ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners
- An entrepreneurial, critical-thinking mindset, with intellectual curiosity, ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work effectively in an international, hyper-growth company, including remote collaboration
- Availability for a full-time 40-hour week internship from June 1st to August 7th
- Must be based in Raleigh for the duration of the internship
