Job Description

The Director of Social Media is responsible for developing and executing global organic social media strategies to enhance brand authority, drive market influence, and provide actionable business insights through social listening and executive thought leadership, while leading a high-performing team in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global organic social media strategy to enhance brand voice, share of voice, and brand sentiment.
  • Design and manage executive thought leadership programs to build industry trust and individual authority.
  • Establish social listening and reporting frameworks to gather market intelligence and inform content and marketing decisions.
  • Launch and optimize employee advocacy and influencer programs to expand reach through storytelling.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with social media teams and cross-functional partners to ensure high-quality, data-driven social media initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading complex, global social media strategies within a B2B and enterprise environment, focusing on brand storytelling and community growth.
  • Extensive experience managing high-stakes executive social programs and scaling influencer initiatives that drive measurable industry engagement.
  • Technical proficiency with enterprise social suites such as Sprout, Brandwatch, or Sprinklr, and a deep understanding of how to use sentiment analysis and attribution to prove business impact.
  • Ability to partner across Creative, Communications, and Demand Generation teams to integrate social insights into holistic business goals.
  • Experience designing and managing an executive thought leadership program, partnering with senior leaders to craft authentic, insight-driven narratives that build industry trust and individual authority.
  • Experience establishing a sophisticated social listening and reporting framework to provide real-time market intelligence, informing content planning and broader marketing decisions.
  • Experience launching and optimizing global employee advocacy and influencer programs that amplify reach through trusted, human-centric storytelling.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of social specialists, setting high standards for creative excellence and data-driven experimentation while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Technical proficiency with enterprise social suites such as Sprout, Brandwatch, or Sprinklr, and understanding of sentiment analysis and attribution to demonstrate business impact.
  • Ability to work from the Raleigh Durham office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.

Annual base salary range of 152,000 to 243,000 USD
