Job Description
A strategic and leadership role focused on shaping the overall product experience for Celonis' enterprise software platform, involving design strategy, system development, user research, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to create user-centered, innovative, and ethically sound solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall design vision and strategy for the Celonis platform.
- Influence product roadmaps and establish design patterns and interactions across the ecosystem.
- Guide the design of complex solutions to enable transformative business outcomes.
- Contribute to and maintain the Celonis design system, focusing on components and interaction patterns.
- Mentor and lead design teams on complex projects and user research initiatives.
- Champion user-centered, accessible, and ethical design principles across teams.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and research teams to define requirements and ensure design feasibility.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in product design with a strong focus on Design Systems, interaction design, and visual design, including a proven track record of leading design strategy and principles.
- At least 8 years of proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, collaborating within software development teams, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and lead design teams on complex projects and drive organizational change.
- Educational background with a Bachelor’s degree or strong background in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Design, Data Design, Communication Design, Engineering, Psychology, or a related field.
- Prior experience working in the B2B or enterprise software sector, with a strong understanding of this field and its unique challenges.
- Highly skilled in interaction design, with hands-on experience creating complex and interactive data visualizations that effectively communicate insights and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Skilled in applying usability principles and techniques through various stages of product development, including requirements gathering, user journey mapping, creating lo-fi and hi-fi wireframes, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
- Experience working with and contributing to Design Systems in Figma.
- Proven ability to champion user-centered design principles across teams, with a strong portfolio showcasing design capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of user needs and accessibility standards, enabling the development of inclusive designs that cater to a wide range of users.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
- Demonstrated understanding of frameworks and technologies, with the ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, including conversational interfaces and emerging AI interaction patterns.
- Deep industry knowledge of the product landscape, emerging trends, and ethical considerations surrounding AI design and development.
- General business acumen with an understanding of process mining, business processes, and the enterprise software market.
- Ability to drive clarity in ambiguous situations and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to influence product roadmaps, establish design patterns, and mentor team members.
