A Senior Counsel role responsible for handling employment law, privacy, and ethics compliance across multiple countries, including conducting investigations, providing legal advice, resolving disputes, and ensuring global legal compliance within a fast-growing SaaS company.
Key Responsibilities
Lead investigations into sensitive matters such as harassment, discrimination, and conflicts of interest.
Provide strategic, risk-based legal advice on employment-related issues including hiring, terminations, and employee rights.
Resolve legal disputes efficiently, collaborating with internal teams and external counsel.
Partner with People & Culture team to develop and implement global compliance initiatives and policies.
Draft, review, and develop policies and contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
Train and mentor members of the People & Culture team on legal compliance and best practices.
Requirements
A law degree and bar admission active and in good standing
A minimum of 5 years of experience as an employment law attorney, with at least 2 years working in the legal department of a multinational corporation with headquarters in the U.S. or Europe
Strong expertise providing legal advice to companies undergoing rapid growth, with a sophisticated understanding of multifaceted employment law compliance
Experience working on employment law matters that required knowledge of U.S. employment law
A proven track record of conducting and documenting thorough, unbiased internal investigations
Fluency in English speaking, writing, and listening
Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills and strong stakeholder credibility, with the ability to build trust and communicate with empathy and discretion with a diverse range of people including senior management
A high degree of professional judgment, integrity, and the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal colleagues
A proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple projects and take ownership of work
Knowledge and interest in using AI to perform work-related tasks
