Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and integration of proprietary enterprise storage hardware, including next-generation NAND technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop hardware-software interfaces for flash storage.
Manage project schedules, dependencies, and risks to ensure timely delivery of storage solutions.
Oversee agile development processes, including sprint planning and backlog prioritization.
Implement continuous improvement practices in firmware development, including CI/CD automation.
Mentor and manage engineering team performance and professional growth.
Serve as technical liaison between firmware, hardware, and system software teams to optimize media management policies.
Requirements
Deep technical expertise in the SSD or embedded storage domain, with a sophisticated understanding of the entire data path, NAND media management, and hardware-software interfaces.
Proven engineering leadership experience leading technical teams or complex projects, specifically focused on embedded systems and the successful delivery of hardware-integrated software to market.
Proficiency in C and C++ for firmware development and Python for automation, with the ability to debug complex issues across the hardware-firmware boundary.
A strong track record of managing projects through the entire product development cycle from concept to general availability (GA) using Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration practices.
Experience in orchestrating team sprints and backlog prioritization to foster a high-velocity development environment that balances rapid feature innovation with product stability.
Experience in driving continuous improvements in the firmware development lifecycle, including implementing advanced CI/CD practices and automated workflows to enhance engineering productivity and product quality.
Ability to lead and manage a team of engineers through active performance management, structured 1-on-1 mentorship, and professional development initiatives.
Experience collaborating across software, hardware, and qualification teams to ensure media management policies are optimized for the latest NAND generations.
Location requirement: Willingness to work primarily from the Bangalore office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
