Job Description

The Account Executive at Celonis is responsible for driving new business growth within the State and Local Government sector by identifying, cultivating, and closing enterprise SaaS sales opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams and partners to expand market presence and deliver value to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Discover and cultivate new business opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with organizational decision-makers
  • Understand client needs and articulate how Celonis solutions address them
  • Guide the sales process from prospecting to closing deals
  • Conduct presentations and demonstrations of solutions tailored to client use cases
  • Build partnerships with consulting firms, SaaS partners, and Big4 firms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business development, value engineering, partner managers, and marketing

Requirements

  • 8 years of demonstrated success in Software as a Service (SaaS) sales, particularly in roles focused on both expanding existing business opportunities and cultivating new business opportunities.
  • 5 years of experience selling into State and Local government.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers.
  • Track record of selling enterprise-level software applications to C-level stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of business processes and KPIs, for example in Finance or Supply Chain.
