Job Description
This role involves leading and managing large, complex healthcare projects as a subject matter expert, providing technical expertise, developing innovative design solutions, mentoring team members, and collaborating with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality architectural and planning services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and serve as subject matter expert on large, complex, or multiple healthcare projects
- Engage with team members, disciplines, and clients to advance project quality
- Develop innovative solutions and industry advancements to meet evolving research needs
- Lead internal Subject Matter Expert Teams and participate in marketing pursuits
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization
- Communicate planning concepts to clients, designers, and project teams through reports and presentations
- Translate planning concepts into project documentation, including architectural drawings and specifications
- Develop project scope, plans, and services during contract negotiations
- Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide guidance to team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience
- Previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the Healthcare market
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must have advanced knowledge in the discipline
- Must possess strong business acumen
- Ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead less experienced team members
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
