Job Description
The Senior Data Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the organization's data management strategy, focusing on AWS cloud solutions, data governance, and analytics to support business decision-making and operational efficiency across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data management framework and strategy using AWS services.
- Establish data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance.
- Lead data management initiatives and projects to improve data practices and ensure effective data integration and storage.
- Manage and oversee a team of data professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Collaborate with departments to align data initiatives with organizational goals and foster a data-driven culture.
- Lead ETL processes, data integration, and manage data storage for structured and unstructured data.
- Oversee data warehousing and analytics initiatives, including real-time data streaming and business intelligence reporting.
- Implement data privacy and security best practices, including access control and encryption.
- Stay updated on AWS innovations and industry trends to enhance data management strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in data management, analytics, or cloud technology roles.
- Proven experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure and data services.
- Experience leading large-scale data initiatives and fostering collaboration across departments.
- Experience managing data domains such as customer, product, and financial data.
- Expertise in data querying and analytics.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
