Job Description
A Software Engineer role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based SaaS applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to application modernization and DevOps practices within a facility solutions company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-based SaaS applications
- Contribute to application modernization and maintenance
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, logging, and monitoring systems
- Support containerization and deployment to AWS
- Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams from concept to deployment
- Create and maintain technical and end-user documentation
- Identify and optimize performance and scalability issues
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in software engineering or a similar field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience building applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying cloud-based SaaS applications.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, logging, and monitoring to improve development efficiency and system reliability.
- Experience supporting containerization efforts using Docker and deployments to AWS.
- Understanding of cloud platforms, Docker, and DevOps practices including CI/CD, Git, and monitoring.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver features from concept through deployment and support.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with an eye for clean, maintainable code.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to create and maintain technical and end-user documentation.
- Experience with application modernization efforts, including refactoring and maintaining existing applications.
- Knowledge of secure coding and access control practices to support SOC2 compliance.
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve performance and scalability through testing and optimization.
