Job Description
This role involves leading planning and technical expertise on Science and Technology architecture projects, collaborating with teams and clients to develop innovative, sustainable design solutions, and translating concepts into construction documentation under the supervision of a Licensed Architect.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and programming for Science and Technology projects under a Licensed Architect.
- Develop innovative solutions and respond to evolving researcher needs.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning.
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program requirements and assess space utilization.
- Communicate planning concepts to project teams and clients through reports and presentations.
- Work with architectural designers to optimize plans aligning with owner goals.
- Translate planning concepts into clear, comprehensible terms for clients and team members.
- Develop, modify, and review planning concepts and solutions.
- Assist in creating architectural drawings and specifications to implement planning concepts.
- Contribute to project scope, planning, and service development during contract processes.
- Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum 8 years of related experience
- Prior experience performing as a subject matter expert on Science and Technology projects
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must possess business acumen
- Must be a critical thinker
- Must be highly analytical
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
