Job Description
This role involves managing structured cabling projects from start to finish, overseeing audiovisual and security components, and designing structured cabling solutions while coordinating with internal teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage structured cabling projects from inception to completion, including audiovisual and security scopes
- Lead and oversee low-voltage design projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and milestones, tracking progress throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project deliverables meet requirements
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively
- Serve as the primary client contact, managing expectations and providing exceptional customer service
- Translate client requirements into actionable structured cabling design plans
- Design structured cabling solutions in accordance with industry standards and client specifications
- Create detailed design documentation, including system architecture and construction drawings, in collaboration with CAD Revit team
- Conduct field verification site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management and structured cabling design required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as ClickUp, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, industry standards such as BICSI, NEC, EIA TIA, and building codes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Ability to multitask, manage resources efficiently, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
