Job Description
This position involves leading electrical engineering projects for building construction, including design, project management, technical leadership, and site supervision, primarily in healthcare, education, and commercial sectors, requiring extensive experience and professional licensure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction.
- Develop project designs, goals, and systems in collaboration with the team.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to designers and engineers.
- Lead or participate in project planning, meetings, and coordination efforts.
- Serve as project manager or engineering leader, overseeing project execution and financial goals.
- Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications, and telecommunication systems.
- Prepare construction documents such as drawings and specifications.
- Specify electrical equipment and guide team members in drawing execution.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of engineering documents.
- Manage project construction administration, including site visits and progress observation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience in electrical engineering.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering in the United States.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to serve in QAQC process and as an independent reviewer of engineering documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to interface effectively with clients and members of the design team.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools.
