Job Description
The Project Designer IV at CannonDesign's Yazdani Studio is responsible for leading and developing innovative architectural design solutions across multiple projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and guiding design from concept through construction while mentoring emerging professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop design solutions throughout all project phases.
- Create innovative design concepts aligned with client culture and goals.
- Translate design ideas into schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
- Guide design intent during construction administration.
- Prepare and present client visualizations and lead design presentations.
- Collaborate with interior designers, technical leaders, and engineers to ensure holistic and sustainable design solutions.
- Coordinate design intent across multiple disciplines and projects.
- Integrate performance-based and sustainable strategies into design solutions.
- Mentor and develop emerging professionals within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture required.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of related professional experience required.
- Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical knowledge of exterior and interior materials and building assemblies.
- Must be a critical thinker.
- Must be highly analytical.
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
- Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines to achieve design intent.
- Command of Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office required.
- Additional 3D modeling experience in Rhino or other comparable software preferred.
- Experience with one or more real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray required, as demonstrated through a portfolio of past and current visualization work.
- Experience with digital media creation and editing in the Adobe Creative Cloud applications required.
- Some experience in computational design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo preferred.
