Job Description
This position is a Project Architect role responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and management of large, complex architectural projects, ensuring design intent, quality, and compliance from conception through construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of technical content and design integration for large or multiple projects.
- Manage project critical path, schedules, and resource planning to ensure timely delivery and financial success.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary work to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Guide and oversee the creation and execution of project documentation, including drawings and specifications.
- Lead project quality assurance, including phase reviews, technical charettes, and compliance monitoring.
- Ensure project design aligns with client goals, budget, schedule, and sustainability objectives.
- Oversee building performance, code compliance, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage construction administration tasks such as RFIs, submittals, and field responses.
- Supervise and mentor project team members to maintain technical quality and process standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
- At least 5 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects
- At least 3 years of experience in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects
- Experience working on large, complex projects
- Current Architectural Registration in the United States
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Demonstrated focus on quality
- Must possess business acumen
- Strong client leadership skills
- Strong technical leadership skills for production team
- Capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff
- Advanced knowledge in the discipline
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software
