This position is a Project Architect role responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and management of large, complex architectural projects, ensuring design intent, quality, and compliance from conception through construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of technical content and design integration for large or multiple projects.
Manage project critical path, schedules, and resource planning to ensure timely delivery and financial success.
Coordinate multidisciplinary work to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
Guide and oversee the creation and execution of project documentation, including drawings and specifications.
Lead project quality assurance, including phase reviews, technical charettes, and compliance monitoring.
Ensure project design aligns with client goals, budget, schedule, and sustainability objectives.
Oversee building performance, code compliance, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage construction administration tasks such as RFIs, submittals, and field responses.
Supervise and mentor project team members to maintain technical quality and process standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
At least 5 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects
At least 3 years of experience in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects
Experience working on large, complex projects
Current Architectural Registration in the United States
Knowledge of building codes and requirements
Demonstrated focus on quality
Must possess business acumen
Strong client leadership skills
Strong technical leadership skills for production team
Capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff
Advanced knowledge in the discipline
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software
