Job Description

This position is a Project Architect role responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and management of large, complex architectural projects, ensuring design intent, quality, and compliance from conception through construction administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of technical content and design integration for large or multiple projects.
  • Manage project critical path, schedules, and resource planning to ensure timely delivery and financial success.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary work to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
  • Guide and oversee the creation and execution of project documentation, including drawings and specifications.
  • Lead project quality assurance, including phase reviews, technical charettes, and compliance monitoring.
  • Ensure project design aligns with client goals, budget, schedule, and sustainability objectives.
  • Oversee building performance, code compliance, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage construction administration tasks such as RFIs, submittals, and field responses.
  • Supervise and mentor project team members to maintain technical quality and process standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects
  • At least 3 years of experience in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects
  • Experience working on large, complex projects
  • Current Architectural Registration in the United States
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements
  • Demonstrated focus on quality
  • Must possess business acumen
  • Strong client leadership skills
  • Strong technical leadership skills for production team
  • Capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff
  • Advanced knowledge in the discipline
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software
