This role involves performing building performance analysis, developing visualizations and reports for high-performance design projects, and providing expertise on energy modeling, sustainability certifications, and building systems across various typologies within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform building performance analysis and produce graphical representations of results.
Develop visual representations of energy consumption, thermal performance, daylighting, and other metrics.
Conduct detailed energy and daylighting analyses to support design development.
Manage documentation for LEED energy credits, energy code compliance, and performance rating systems.
Research and improve performance modeling methodologies, workflows, and software.
Provide client and project team leadership and serve as a subject matter expert.
Develop research, case studies, and white papers to present findings and recommendations.
Assist in producing narratives, approaches, and fees for project proposals.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in related field required.
A minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
Must be able to assist with data analysis, energy modeling, and visualization tools, and be familiar with A E C industry trends related to high performance buildings.
Experience with EnergyPlus Openstudio, required.
Familiarity with ASHRAE Standard 90.1, ASHRAE Standard 62.1, LEED Reference Guides, California Title 24, IECC, and other energy related codes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are essential.
