Job Description

This role involves providing strategic business development leadership within the health market for the Great Lakes Region, focusing on client engagement, opportunity identification, and brand strengthening to support regional growth and firm-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and tactical business development leadership for the Great Lakes Region in the health market.
  • Partner with Market and Client Leaders to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Develop client and partner relationships to grow revenue and secure new projects.
  • Support and lead pursuit activities, including client engagement meetings, proposal development, and interview preparation.
  • Identify and advance net fee opportunities, aiming for specific revenue targets.
  • Conduct pre-positioning and intelligence gathering to inform pursuit strategies.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities exceeding three times the office's annual net signed fee.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and implement best practices for client pursuit and retention.
  • Develop and execute regional business development strategies aligned with overall firm growth plans.
  • Participate in business planning, monitor marketing budgets, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external networks within core markets, practices, and service lines.
  • Lead and facilitate client engagement meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Strengthen the firm's brand presence in the marketplace and promote Living-Centered Design principles.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 12 years of related work experience in marketing business development roles, preferably in the A E C industry.
  • Proven experience in the development and implementation of marketing business plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing significant relationships that increase the opportunity pipeline in the health market.
  • Business acumen and ability to develop, influence, and execute strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills, including authentic and respectful communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, is a plus.
  • Exceptional client and people leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional writing, presentation, speaking, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to exercise good independent judgment and maintain confidentiality.

Salary range of $130,300 to $162,900 annually, with potential for discretionary bonuses
