Job Description

A Sr. Paralegal specializing in real estate transactions within the renewable energy sector, responsible for supporting project closings, title work, and legal documentation to facilitate the development and operation of clean energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order, review, and resolve issues with title commitments, surveys, and exception documents.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and execute real estate agreements, including leases, easements, and related documents.
  • Track and report on project execution, including title searches and curative work.
  • Draft correspondence and revisions related to title and survey comments.
  • Manage contract critical dates, electronic calendaring, and closing checklists.
  • Coordinate crossing agreements and compliance requirements with third parties.
  • Assist with all aspects of closings, including preparing documents, schedules, and data room population.
  • Organize post-closing deliverables, including closing indices and binders.
  • Review organizational and authority documents for accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of real estate paralegal experience in an in-house legal department or at a law firm
  • Experience closing complex multi-parcel real estate projects or similar transactions
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate site control and title curative documents
  • Transactional experience and familiarity with closing mechanics and documentation
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
  • High level of organizational skills and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required to communicate effectively with direct team members, across multiple departments and with external counterparties
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to read, comprehend and summarize legal documents and contracts
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with team members at all levels of the company in a congenial, collaborative manner
  • A resourceful problem solver with the ability to operate autonomously and efficiently and to figure out solutions proactively and independently
  • Ability to pivot between responsibilities to meet tight deadlines and shifting demands and priorities
  • An entrepreneurial attitude and work ethic with a desire to roll up your sleeves and get the job done in a fast-paced environment and rapidly growing business
  • Willingness to be flexible about work schedule to support closings and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation/salary range: $107,269 - $126,199 USD
