Job Description
A Landscape Architect responsible for leading the design, coordination, and technical development of landscape architecture projects, including site analysis, environmental assessments, and sustainable design strategies, while managing team collaboration and client relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of technical aspects and content of landscape architecture projects
- Coordinate work with all disciplines to ensure integrated project deliverables
- Perform site analysis, environmental assessments, site planning, stormwater management, and landscape design
- Prepare design sketches of moderate to complex site plans
- Communicate project status, design intent, and construction updates to stakeholders
- Participate in business development activities and support marketing efforts
- Conduct field site observations and visits
- Develop and maintain client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
- Integrate sustainable and performance-based design strategies into projects
- Supervise, train, and direct interns and less experienced team members
- Ensure technical quality and compliance through QA/QC processes
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in a landscape architecture required.
- Minimum 8 years of related professional experience required.
- Current Landscape Architecture Registration in the United States required.
- Knowledge of horticulture and sustainable design.
- Knowledge of local and regional regulatory environment.
- Must possess business acumen.
- Must be a critical thinker.
- Must be highly analytical.
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Revit proficiency preferred but not mandatory.
