Job Description
A healthcare project architect or planner responsible for providing technical expertise in programming, planning, and design of healthcare facilities, collaborating with project teams, developing architectural documentation, and incorporating sustainable design solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in programming and planning for healthcare projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and refine planning concepts and solutions.
- Communicate planning concepts to clients, designers, and project teams through reports and presentations.
- Assist in developing architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Contribute to project scope, planning, and services during contract development.
- Incorporate sustainable design solutions into healthcare projects.
- Maintain relationships with clients and provide guidance to other designers and project leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree.
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience, with at least 2 years of previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on healthcare projects.
- Current licensure or registration in the United States is preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Must possess working knowledge and experience in relevant skills, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
- Must be analytical and an independent thinker.
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam software.
