Job Description
A senior leadership role focused on providing expert guidance in Education architecture projects, overseeing programming, planning, design development, client relations, and integrating sustainable solutions to deliver innovative and high-quality educational facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-level specialist role as a subject matter expert on Education projects, focusing on team and client leadership, mentoring, and advancing work quality
- Develop innovative solutions and responses to evolving research needs within the industry
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning for projects
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization
- Communicate planning concepts to project teams and clients through reports, graphics, and verbal explanations
- Translate planning concepts into construction documentation, including architectural drawings and specifications
- Develop project scope, plans, and services during the contract process
- Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide guidance to other designers and project leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the Education market
- Previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects in the Education market
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must have advanced knowledge in the discipline
- Must possess business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to be client facing
- Ability to lead less experienced team members
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam software
