Job Description
This role involves leading the Education Market at CannonDesign's Dallas office by developing high-performance teams, driving business growth, managing client relationships, and promoting innovative design solutions aligned with Living-Centered Design principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead high-performance, diverse teams focused on the Education Market.
- Create and implement the Market Business Plan to drive market growth and differentiation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships to achieve revenue targets.
- Lead client engagement on billable projects and foster long-term client relationships.
- Represent the market externally and internally through speaking engagements, writing, and promotional activities.
- Advance strategic initiatives, market differentiation, and team building aligned with firm-wide goals.
- Achieve market top-line revenue goals, including a personal target of $3 million in net signed fees annually.
- Assess market trends and opportunities to inform strategic growth and innovation.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure successful implementation of business plan initiatives and profitability targets.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop staff to build a high-performing, inclusive team and future leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Education Market.
- Strong presentation skills are essential.
- Exceptional client and people leadership skills are required.
- Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully are essential.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy are needed.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
- Some travel required.
