Job Description
The role involves managing and implementing design technology processes, standards, and tools across projects, supporting BIM project execution, educating teams on digital technologies, and leading research and development efforts within an architecture, engineering, and construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage design technology processes, standards, and technologies across projects
- Assist project teams with BIM project execution planning at project kickoff and milestones
- Advise on and define Level of Development Detail for deliverables
- Author and implement standard workflows and processes
- Create and enhance digital asset and detail libraries
- Support and educate teams on primary design applications and digital technologies
- Perform model audits and provide feedback to ensure model health
- Leverage metadata and data collection for design intelligence, optimization, and automation
- Lead or participate in technology-related research and development projects
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in an AEC industry, including a minimum of 3 years of experience in a design technology management, implementation, or a related role.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- Must have a working knowledge of all aspects of professional services from planning and schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise (preferred).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Training design and delivery experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of model authoring tools like Revit, analysis tools like Insight 360, Dynamo, review tools like Navisworks, Bluebeam, Revizto, Enscape, and other Design Applications.
- Knowledge of the Revit API is preferred but not required.
